NIRA participation at Autonomous Vehicles Detroit a success

End of August, NIRA participated with a demo team at the Autonomous Vehicles event at MGM Grand, Detroit. The two products Road Surface Information (RSI) and Tire Grip Indicator (TGI) were demoed at the event.

Over 30 demoes were performed and it was extremely well received. It is extremely clear that the future of products, such as RSI and TGI, is very bright. OEMs and Tier1s in the automotive industry are in need of software products such as this to make ADAS and autonomy a reality.

Especially appreciated was the fact that the NIRA products are very fast and responsive to changes in road conditions, completely without adding any sensors. There were a lot of surprised faces when it became apparent that we are using software only, taking advantage of the existing sensors of the car.
